Day 1: Foum Zguid → Erg Chegaga Desert Camp
Your journey begins with a meet-up at our office in the center of Foum Zguid around 15:30. After a welcome tea, you will meet your driver and guide who will accompany you on this desert tour. Leaving your car in a secure park, you’ll take a 4×4 direction to the desert. Our first stop is at the Tajine Mountains to visit the oasis of Elagermia and a fascinating fossil site. We will then cross the dry bed of Lake Iriki to arrive at an authentic desert camp in the dunes of Erg Chegaga. Here, you will be welcomed with mint tea and cakes, followed by a camel ride to watch the sunset from the top of the big dunes. The night concludes with a traditional nomads’ dinner and music around a campfire.

Day 2: Lake Iriki → Erg Chegaga Luxury Camp
After breakfast at the camp, you will begin the day by exploring the old village of Sidi Abd Enbi and the peaceful oasis of Zawiat. You will have the unique opportunity to visit a nomadic school and have lunch with a local nomadic family, gaining profound insights into their traditional way of life. In the evening, we will drive through the magnificent dunes to a different part of the desert, where you will spend the night in a luxury desert camp in the heart of Erg Chegaga.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga → M’hamid El Ghizlane → Zagora
After a final breakfast in the dunes, we will begin our journey toward Zagora. We will start by driving to M’hamid El Ghizlane, passing through a series of lush oases. We’ll make a stop to visit a place where traditional pottery is produced, a local Koranic school, and an old Jewish Kasbah. The final leg of the journey takes us along the scenic Draa Valley to Zagora, where this unforgettable desert tour concludes.
