New Year’s Eve in the desert is a unique experience offered by Foum Zguid Desert Tour. This 3-day, 2-night trip offers a complete immersion in the Moroccan desert to celebrate the New Year in an unforgettable way.

Day 1: Foum Zguid – Guesthouse “La Petite Maison du lac Iriki”

Early afternoon welcome in Foum Zguid, followed by a 4x4 departure on the old Paris-Dakar track. Crossing desert landscapes of stone and sand, then past the dried-up Iriki Lake to the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, located near the guesthouse.
• Welcome with tea and relaxation overlooking the magnificent surrounding landscape, under the warm glow of the sunset.
• At nightfall, the house is lit with a thousand and one candles for a magical atmosphere, surrounded by a local meal prepared with fresh ingredients. Outside, wrapped up warm, you can admire a brilliant starry sky and, with a little luck, spot shooting stars.
• The evening continues with music, with percussion and traditional rhythms that will transport you to the world of the desert nomads.

Day 2: Guesthouse – Erg El Mhazil

• In the morning, visit the village located a few meters from the house, discovering agriculture in the oasis, the marabout of Sidi Abdenabi, and historical remains.
• After lunch, depart by camel for an approximately 2-hour crossing of the dried-up Iriki Lake. You will discover the bivouac nestled in the dunes of Erg El Mhazil, a place of absolute tranquility.
• Take the opportunity to climb the large dune and admire the panoramic view of the sea of sand.

Day 3: Erg El Mhazil – Foum Zguid

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the bivouac.
Return by 4x4 to Foum Zguid, with stops to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
