Itinerary for One Day Desert Trekking at Lake Iriki and Chegaga Desert Departure from Foum Zguid:
Begin your journey from Foum Zguid to the oasis of Ouad Sasi, embarking on a camel trek to the oasis of Jnane Chebbi. Spend the night at the foot of Jebel Bani (mountain). The next day, cross the dry expanse of Lake Iriki to the south and reach the “Bivouac les Nomades.” Return to Foum Zguid, concluding your memorable adventure.
Embark on this one-day trek from Foum Zguid in the early morning, traveling in a 4x4 vehicle. Your desert guide will pick you up at your hotel or camping site in Foum Zguid.
Meet the camel team at the majestic Erg Elghoul dune, one of the Sahara's most beautiful. Traverse Lake Iriki amidst the dunes, heading towards Bivouac les Nomades, where your beginner desert trek concludes.
The walking time is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, with a rest break in the middle. At the desert camp, the 4x4 car will be ready to transport you back to Foum Zguid in the evening.
Feel free to extend your stay at Bivouac les Nomades for one or more nights-just inform us before departing from Foum Zguid.
