Day 1: Marrakech to Lake Iriki Desert
Your journey begins early from Marrakech as we travel by private 4×4 across the dramatic High Atlas Mountains. We’ll pass through Taznakht, the capital of traditional Moroccan carpet production, before reaching Foum Zguid, a true gateway to the Sahara. Our adventure continues off-road along the historic Paris-Dakar piste. We’ll visit ancient fossil beds, the unique Tajine Mountains, and share a cup of tea with local nomads. We’ll then arrive at the vast, dry bed of Lake Iriki, where we’ll spend the night in our desert camp, Bivouac Les Nomades, enjoying music around a bonfire and a stunning desert sunset from the top of the dunes.

Day 2: Lake Iriki to Marrakech
After a traditional breakfast, we’ll depart from Bivouac Les Nomades, traveling back through Foum Zguid and Taznakht. Our journey takes us to the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a beautifully preserved fortified village. You’ll have time to explore its winding streets and enjoy a final lunch before we begin our scenic return across the Atlas Mountains to conclude your unforgettable desert adventure in Marrakech.
