Day 1: Journey into the Heart of the Desert
Your adventure begins in the village of Foum Zguid, the gate to the Sahara. After a warm welcome at our office, you will board a 4×4 vehicle for a scenic drive along the rugged Paris-Dakar piste. Your journey will take you past the striking Tajine Mountains and to a fascinating site with prehistoric fossils. You’ll then traverse the dried bed of Iriki Lake, a vast salt flat that sets the stage for the majestic dunes ahead. We will continue through the sacred oasis of Zaouiat Sidi Abd Enbi, offering glimpses into the resilience of desert life. Upon reaching Erg Chegaga, the largest dune massif in Morocco, you’ll embark on a camel trek to your traditional Bedouin camp. Here, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by an evening of stargazing around a campfire, accompanied by traditional Berber music.

Day 2: Sunrise in Erg Chegaga and Return
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, a moment of serenity and natural beauty. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the desert with activities such as sandboarding or a visit to a local nomadic family, gaining insights into their traditional way of life. The return journey to Foum Zguid offers more opportunities to explore the unique desert landscape before concluding your memorable adventure.
