Day 1: Marrakech to Foum Zguid > Erg Elmhazil Dunes
Your Sahara desert tour starts with a private 4×4 transfer from Marrakech. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying spectacular views of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The journey continues across desert plateaus and oases, offering you a glimpse of traditional Moroccan landscapes. Arriving at Foum Zguid, the gateway to the desert, you’ll head into the Erg Elmhazil dunes—one of the most secluded desert locations in Morocco. Unlike the crowded Merzouga dunes, Erg Elmhazil offers complete solitude and tranquility. Here, you’ll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp and enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under the stars. Your guide will lead you on an authentic camel trek where you’ll get a real taste of the nomadic lifestyle of the Berber people. Stop at oases, visit small Berber villages, and learn about the traditions and culture of the Saharan nomads. After a day of exploring, you’ll set up camp in the dunes and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal, followed by stargazing under the clear desert sky.
Day 3: Erg Elghoul to Foum Zguid – Return to Marrakech
