Day 1: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Merzouga Desert
Your Sahara desert tour begins early from your riad or hotel in Marrakech as we cross the dramatic High Atlas Mountains via the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we’ll stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a magnificent fortified village, and explore Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Our journey continues through the scenic Rose Valley and Tinghir, arriving in Merzouga by late afternoon. From here, you’ll ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the spectacular sunset before arriving at your traditional desert camp. The evening will feature a delicious Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the starry sky.

Day 2: Camel Trekking & Dunes of Erg Chebbi
Wake early to witness the breathtaking desert sunrise, followed by a traditional breakfast at camp. Today, we’ll set off on a camel trekking adventure, journeying into the deeper dunes of Erg Chebbi. We’ll visit remote nomadic families, share tea in a traditional Berber tent, and experience the vast silence of the Sahara. A picnic lunch will be served in the dunes, with plenty of time for sandboarding or simply relaxing in this incredible setting. We’ll return to camp in the late afternoon for another evening of storytelling, music, and stargazing.

Day 3: Merzouga → Draa Valley → Marrakech
After a final breakfast, we’ll depart Merzouga and take a different scenic route back to Marrakech. We’ll travel through the Draa Valley and the charming village of Nkob, enjoying views of lush palm groves, oases, and rugged mountains before crossing the High Atlas once more. Your memorable Morocco desert tour concludes upon arrival in Marrakech by evening.
