Depart Marrakech for the desert, crossing the Tizi N'Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains, with its red rocks, and passing through the town of Tazenakht, renowned for its handmade carpets. After a lunch break to savor typical dishes, you'll drive along the Zguid palm grove before arriving at Foum Zguid, at the gateway to the desert. Lodging in a peaceful riad where you can relax and enjoy a delicious tajine for dinner.
The morning is devoted to a visit to Foum Zguid, including the ancient kasbah and date palm grove. After lunch in the town center, departure in 4x4 to the Iriki National Park, an unspoilt area offering breathtaking scenery. On the way, stop at an oasis overlooking the tabular mountains of the “Moroccan Colorado” and visit a prehistoric fossil site. Arrive at your guesthouse, set amidst vast plains dotted with acacia trees, with views of the dunes in the distance. A warm welcome with tea, followed by a dinner of tagine prepared with fresh village vegetables. A peaceful night in these serene surroundings.
In the morning, visit the nomadic village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi to discover local life, agriculture in the oasis and historical remains. Return to the guesthouse for lunch. In the afternoon, departure in 4x4 to the Erg Chegaga dunes, the highest in Morocco, culminating at 300 meters. Settle into a bivouac at the foot of the dunes, followed by a camel ride at sunset. In the evening, dinner and music around the fire, before spending the night in comfortable tents in the calm of the desert.
After an open-air breakfast, departure in 4x4 to M'Hamid, at the bottom of the Drâa Valley, to admire the valley and its beautiful palm groves. Continue to Zagora for the night.
Return to Marrakech via varied landscapes and typical villages, with stops to enjoy panoramic views and photographic opportunities.
